Cowgirls Set For Red Raider Match Play Event

STILLWATER, Okla. – No. 7 Oklahoma State women's golf returns to the course this weekend at the Red Raider Match Play event at The Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas.
The two-day, four-team event will tee off at 8:30 a.m. Sunday when the Cowgirls face off against Tulsa. Oklahoma State will play Texas Tech in the afternoon round on Sunday. A meeting with Bedlam-rival Oklahoma will close out the tournament for OSU, who is set to tee off against the Sooners at 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
Lianna Bailey, Ashton Begley, Maddison Hinson-Tolchard, Hailey Jones, Angelica Pfefferkorn, Jenna Solheim, Emma Whitaker and Han-Hsuan Yu all made the trip to Texas for the Cowgirls.
Match pairings will be determined Saturday following a selection process with all four head coaches.
Score updates will be available on golfstat.com and the team's social media as they become available.
Oklahoma State comes into the weekend fresh off a third-place finish at the Mountain View Collegiate. OSU has finished third in four-straight tournaments dating back to the Columbia Classic in February.
The Cowgirls have yet to finish lower than third in a tournament this season after winning its first four competitions of the year.
OSU has had success of late in match play situations. It went 2-0 with wins over Arizona and Duke in October to earn the East Lake Cup title after going 3-2 in match play opportunities last year.
Against the field competing this weekend, Oklahoma State is 1-1 in the past two years with a win over Tulsa last year at the Cowgirl Match Play at the Stillwater Country Club.
