Maddison Hinson-Tolchard Cards Record Weekend As Cowgirls Take Third

Tucson, Ariz. – Maddison Hinson-Tolchard carded her lowest 54-hole score in her Cowgirl career as No. 5 Oklahoma State women's golf earned a third-place finish at the MountainView Collegiate on Sunday in Tucson, Ariz.
Hinson-Tolchard shot a 209 to finish the weekend at 7-under in a tie for eighth alongside teammate, Han-Hsuan Yu. Hinson-Tolchard posted a round of 72 on Sunday at the par-72, 6,352-yard layout. Yu recorded a 74 in her final round of the 54-hole tournament.
As a team, OSU led the field in par-3 and par-4 scoring. Hinson-Tolchard and Yu were the driving force in the par-3 success as they finished the weekend 1-under on those holes.
Texas Tech's 284 on Sunday helped the Red Raiders surge from third at the start of the day to the tournament victory while San Jose State finished second after shooting a 288 in the final round. OSU rounded out the top-3 spots with a 293 on Sunday.
Hailey Jones finished the tournament in a tie for 13th-place at 5-under after carding a 70 in the third round. Lianna Bailey posted a 77 on Sunday to finish the weekend 2-over.
Clemence Martin was forced to withdraw from the tournament on Sunday due to injury.
The 16-team tournament featured Big 12 opponents Kansas State, Iowa State, Oklahoma, TCU and Texas Tech in addition to Missouri, Arkansas, Florida, Houston, North Texas, San Jose State, Southern Mississippi, Texas A&M, Tulsa and UNLV.

The Cowgirls return to action Apr. 3 for the Red Raider Match Play at the Rawls Course for a two-day event.
