Lauren Fields Named Academic All-District

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's Lauren Fields was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 squad it was announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid-March.

Fields, who is pursuing a degree in marketing, was one of seven players selected from District 7, which is comprised of Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas.

On the court, the junior from Shawnee, Okla., is currently sixth in the Big 12 in scoring at 16.9 points per game, eighth in field-goal percentage (.366), second in steals at 2.4 per game and 10^th in blocks (0.95).
