Cowgirls Reach Century Mark In Victory Over ORU

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State's women's basketball team rode a dominant first half to a 103-66 victory over Oral Roberts on Monday night in front of 1,578 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The contest marked the first time since December of 2017, the Cowgirls reached the century mark in the scoring column.
OSU, which improved to 3-0 on the year, followed a 33-point first quarter with a 30-point showing in the second, while holding the Golden Eagles to 21 points in the first half.
Fifth year Claire Chastain nearly matched her career of 22 points in the first half, scoring 21 on a 7-of-10 shooting effort, including a 3-for-3 effort from beyond the 3-point line. She would go on to finish with a game-high 24 points.
Overall, the Cowgirls shot 56 percent from the floor in the first 20 minutes and had three players reach double figures with fifth year Naomie Alnatas adding 11 points and junior Taylen Collins scoring 12 in the first 20 minutes.
OSU scored 21 points in the third quarter and has now scored at least 20 points in 10 of the 12 quarters in which it has played this season.
For the contest, OSU shot 50 percent from the floor while holding ORU to a 35 percent effort. The Cowgirls connected on 52 percent (13-25) of their attempts from beyond the 3-point arc as well.
Alnatas finished with 16 points, while Collins hit eight of her nine shots on the way to an 18-point, eight-rebound performance.
Senior Makyra Tramble made it four Cowgirls in double figures with 11 points of her own.
