Cowgirl Golf Adds Trio of Signees

STILLWATER, Okla. ---- Oklahoma State women's golf added another strong core of future Cowgirls with Marta Silchenko, Ellie Bushnell, and Sammie Miller all signing their National Letters of Intent on Friday.

"We are very excited about this recruiting class," head coach Greg Robertson said. "All three are very talented players, but just as important, they are great people with the character that we're looking for in our program.

"Marta has had a lot of experience and success on an international level, while Ellie and Sammie are two players on the rise, and have a ton of talent that will add to the roster. The future of Cowgirl golf certainly looks bright, and we will have a lot to look forward to over the next four years."

Marta Silchenko · Riga, Latvia

Over the past year, Silchenko has racked up a long list of accomplishments on the international level, leading to a current ranking of 405th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, and has been ranked as high as 210th.

In May, Silchenko was crowned the champion of the Estonian Amateur Open, where she shot rounds of 77-72-73.

Additionally, Silchenko earned top-10 finishes at the Dutch Amateur Championship, Finnish Amateur Championship, and Belgian International Championship throughout the 2022 summer.

In 2021, she fired rounds of 74-72-73 en route to a runner-up finish at the Spanish International Amateur, and placed 7th at the Portuguese Ladies Amateur Championship with rounds of 71-68-75-69.

Ellie Bushnell · Granite Bay, California

Bushnell has seen plenty of success over the last two years, earning titles at both the 2021 and 2022 CWAC Junior Girls State Championship. In 2021, she claimed the trophy with rounds of 74-76, before firing a 68-73 in this year's rendition to remain the event's champion. Bushnell also won the 2021 Notah Begay Stanford Regional Qualifier due two spectacular rounds of 69 and 68.

She also competed at the AJGA-Northwest Arkansas Junior and the IMG Junior World Championships in 2021, placing top-5 in both tournaments.

Just recently, Bushnell won the CIF/NCGA Girls Regional Championship with a solid 71 to advance to the California High State Championship.

Sammie Miller · Brentwood, California

Miller has burst onto the scene in 2022 following strong performances at a pair of high-level tournaments. She finished third at the 2022 IMG Junior World Championship in July, where she carded rounds of 69-70-69-72, and placed fifth at the 2022 CWAC Junior Girls State Championship with rounds of 72 and 74.

Miller remained active throughout the rest of the summer, competing at both the California Women's Amateur Championship in July and the California Women's Championship in August.
