Cowgirls and Cowboys Each Enter Top 25 After Impressive Weekend

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State men's and women's indoor track & field teams entered the Top-25 rankings for the first time this season, the USTFCCCA announced Monday.
The Cowgirls found themselves at No. 10 in the second week of the rankings, which marked the first time in program history they have been ranked in the top ten nationally after jumping 32 spots in this week's rankings.
Gabija Galvydyte and Taylor Roe currently have led the Cowgirls, making up a total of 55.1 of 81.16 points in the 800 Meters, Mile, DMR and 3,000 Meter runs between them. Galvydyte currently ranks third in the 800 Meters, while Roe is fourth and seventh in the Mile and 3,000 Meters. Galvydyte and Roe also made up the opening and anchor legs of the sixth-ranked DMR.
The Cowboys also rocketed up the rankings, rising 89 spots all the way up to No. 16. The 89-spot jump is the second highest jump in the country this season.
The men's DMR has led the way for the Cowboys, totaling 23.29 points with their top-ranked time of 9:28.88 at the Razorback Invitational. Alex Maier's third-ranked time of 7:46.61 in the 3,000 Meters carried 17.46 points in the overall rankings.
