Cowboy Tennis Falls to Oregon

Austin, Texas - Oklahoma State's men's tennis team opened play at the ITA Kickoff Weekend with a 4-0 loss to Oregon on Saturday afternoon in Austin, Texas.
The Cowboys dipped to 2-2 on the year after the loss.
Doubles play showed it was going to be a closely contested battle the entirety of the match.
Oregon struck first on court one, No. 17 Quinn Vandecasteele and Joshua Charlton defeated Alex Garcia and Tyler Zink, 6-1. The Ducks took the momentum to court two where a close matchup of Sebastian Nothhaft and Max Verboven went the way of Ivailo Keremedchiev and Jesper Klov-Nilsson, 6-3.
With the doubles point decided, court three would go unfinished where OSU's Leighton Allen and Fran Pini had the upper hand against Luke Vandercasteele and Ryoma Matsushita, 5-3.
Despite dropping the doubles point, the Cowboys did not back down in singles play.
Court two was the first to finish. Although knotted a majority of the match, it fell to Oregon's Quinn Vandecasteele against Alex Garcia, 6-2, 6-4, to push the Duck's to 2-0 overall. Max Verboven kept a consistent battle-and-forth battle on court three, but Ivalio Keremedchiev came out on top, 6-3, 6-4. The Ducks sealed the deal on court four, Jesper Klov-Nilsson snagged a 6-4, 6-1 win against Sebastian Nothhaft.
Although left unfinished, Leighton Allen remained dominant on court five against Luke Vandercasteele, 6-4, 5-3.
Like Allen, junior Tyler Zink continued to battle on court one against Joshua Charlton, 5-7, 4-4. Freshman Fran Pini left knotted against Ryoma Matsushita, 6-2, 3-6.
The Cowboys are back in action tomorrow as they take the court against Columbia at 12 p.m.
