Cowgirl Soccer Travels To Texas For Preseason Exhibition

Oklahoma State will face Missouri in a preseason exhibition match Friday at 10 a.m. on Field #5 at the FC Dallas soccer complex in Frisco, Texas.

Friday's match is scheduled to air live on Stillwater Radio KGFY 105.5 FM with Bill Van Ness on the call; to listen online, go to stillwaterradio.net.

OSU Notes

Oklahoma State is ranked No. 16 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll, while the Cowgirls are 17^th in the TopDrawerSoccer.com preseason rankings.
OSU is coming off a 13-3-2 season in which it advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship for the third time in program history.
The Cowgirls return nine starters from last season's squad, including five All-Big 12 performers in Gabriella Coleman, Olyvia Dowell, Charmé Morgan and Kim Rodriguez.
OSU returns 100 percent of its scoring from a year ago as every player that accounted for the Cowgirls' 40 goals last season returns.
Grace Yochum and Olyvia Dowell each tallied a Big 12 Conference-best 12 goals last season, a total that ranked sixth in the NCAA. Dowell also ranked fifth nationally with 31 points.
The Cowgirls' defense allowed only 17 goals last season and posted nine shutouts.
OSU will open the 2021 season Thursday, Aug. 19 when it hosts the BancFirst Cowgirl Soccer Invitational at Neal Patterson Stadium. The Cowgirls open against UTSA before taking on Pittsburgh on Sunday.

Missouri Notes

Missouri held a preseason exhibition match on Tuesday in Frisco and was a 4-1 winner over Sam Houston State.
Stefanie Golan was hired as Mizzou soccer's second-ever head coach in May.
The Tigers were 6-5-3 last season.
