Cowgirl Soccer Begins Spring With Dominant Victory

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State opened its spring exhibition slate in dominating fashion Saturday, rolling past Southern Nazarene, 10-0, at Neal Patterson Stadium.
Sonora DeFini led the charge with four goals, while Emily Senatore added a hat trick as the Cowgirls overwhelmed SNU.
Senatore got the scoring started in the 18th minute, and Aubrey Wagner doubled the lead with a strike in the 26th minute to cap the first half for OSU.
The second-half theatrics came quickly.
Transfer Emma Jensen found the net just six minutes in, sparking the Cowgirl attack. Senatore added two more goals to complete her hat trick and open her spring campaign in emphatic fashion.
DeFini made her presence felt beginning in the 68th minute, pushing the Cowgirls ahead 5-0. She went on to score three more times in a span of just over 15 minutes, while Laudan Wilson also added a goal as the Cowgirls poured in eight second-half goals.
The Cowgirls return to Neal Patterson Stadium on March 7 for a doubleheader, facing UCO at 11 a.m. before taking on Seminole State College at 6 p.m.
