50 OSU Student-Athletes Recognized On Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team

STILLWATER – Fifty Oklahoma State student-athletes across 13 sports were named to the 2020-21 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team, which honors first-year freshmen for their classroom pursuits.

Of the 68 Big 12 rookies nominated with a perfect 4.00 GPA, 10 were from Oklahoma State – Marcus Brown (baseball), Jaxson Crull (baseball), Paige Jones (equestrian), Taylen Collins (women's basketball), Angelica Pfefferkorn (women's golf), Rina Tatematsu (women's golf), Mollie Breiner (soccer), Shyann McClary (soccer), Ryan Schoppe (track & field), Sivan Auerbach (track & field) and Maddie Meiner (track & field).

A total of 520 student-athletes across the league were named to the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie team, which is restricted to new, first-time/incoming freshmen that have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial coursework and achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00.

Additionally, the student-athlete must have participated in at least one of their team's scheduled contests and must have been a member of their respective team for their sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.

The Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team was introduced in the 2012-13 academic year.
