Four Cowgirls Earn Academic All-Big 12 Honors

STILLWATER – Four members of the Oklahoma State women's basketball team were honored for their work in the classroom with the announcement of the 2021 Academic All-Big 12 Team on Thursday by the league office.
Kassidy De Lapp, Lauren Fields, Bigue Sarr and Abbie Winchester were among the 38 first-team selections.
Winchester, an industrial engineering and management student, was honored for the third time in her career. De Lapp, a university studies major, was named to the first team for the first time after being a second-team selection last year. Fields, a marketing major, and Sarr, a university studies major, were named to the team for the first time.
First-team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.2 or better GPA, while second-team selections hold a 3.0 to 3.19 GPA. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests.
Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
