STILLWATER - Megan Haines scored her first career goal and Amber Lockwood recorded a shutout in her first career start as part of the Oklahoma State soccer team's 5-0 win over UTEP at Neal Patterson Stadium on Saturday.

The Cowgirls improved to 10-2-1 with the victory, while the Miners fell to 3-4-1 after the loss.

There were no shortage of opportunities for the Cowgirls, with Olyvia Dowell and Grace Yochum often in the middle of the action. The first goal of the game came in the ninth minute when Yochum headed home a cross from Charmé Morgan.

The Cowgirls were quick to score in the second half. A corner kick from Olyvia Dowell rattled around in the box before All-American Kim Rodriguez punched it in just two minutes into the second half. Â Just four minutes later, Haines put the game away by finishing a low cross from veteran teammate Hannah Webb.

Yochum and Dowell remained in the middle of the action and created an opportunity for Gabriella Coleman to score in the 62nd minute to extend the OSU lead to 4-0.

In the 66th minute, Dowell found the back of the net herself to secure the 5-0 victory. The Cowgirls had the clear advantage throughout the game with 18 shots on goal to UTEP's three.

OSU returns to action next Saturday against Oklahoma at 1 p.m. at Neal Patterson Stadium.
