Stark, Fierro Named to Annika Award Watch List

STILLWATER – For the first time in program history, two Oklahoma State Cowgirls, Maja Stark and Isabella Fierro, have been named to the Annika Award Watch List.
Stark, ranked as the No. 16 golfer in the country, with a 71.17 scoring average, is 26-8 against national top-50 players. She holds the OSU record for lowest 36-hole total at 12-under 132 and is tied with Fierro for lowest 54-hole total at 15-under 201.
Fierro, who boasts a 70.11 scoring average heads to the postseason as the No. 13 golfer in the country. The Merida, Mexico native is 18-5 against national top-50 players and has recorded 25 rounds under par or better throughout her career.
The Annika Award, created in 2014, is given annually to the top female U.S. collegiate golfer. Named for and presented by Annika Sorenstam, the award was created in partnership with the Haskins Commission, to match the Haskins Award, given annually to the top male collegiate golfer.
