February 08, 2021 | Cowboy Basketball
STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State basketball team checked in at No. 23 in the latest Associated Press Top-25 Poll, giving the Cowboys their first AP ranking since being No. 22 on Feb. 16, 2015.
All-time, Oklahoma State has been ranked in the AP Poll for 266 weeks, and tonight's game at Kansas will be OSU's 491st as a ranked squad. The Cowboys have an impressive 347-143 (.708) record as a ranked squad.
Last week, the Cowboys (12-5, 5-5 Big 12) missed the AP Poll by a total of six points, but Saturday's 75-67 double-overtime win over No. 6 Texas in Stillwater propelled OSU back into the rankings.
The Cowboys are also ranked No. 22 in the USA Today Coaches Poll after appearing at No. 24 last week. The No. 22 ranking is OSU's highest in that poll since the Pokes were No. 19 on Feb. 3, 2014.
Tonight's tipoff in Allen Fieldhouse is slated for 8 p.m. on ESPN's Big Monday.
