Fierro Impresses At Tournament With Team Mexico

TRINITY, Texas – Oklahoma State women's golf's Isabella Fierro finished second at the Spirit International Golf Championship at the Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, Texas this weekend. Fierro was competing as a member of Team Mexico at the 52-hole, par-72, 6,443-yard layout.
The sophomore Cowgirl shot a tournament-low second round 67. She finished just three strokes shy of the lead after shooting a 69 in the final round to end the tournament 7-under. Fierro notched 15 birdies, the second-most in the tournament.
Team Mexico finished in fifth place at 8-over. The United States finished 11-under in first, followed by Switzerland in second and France in third.
Fierro and the Cowgirls will return to action at the Match in the Desert in Gold Canyon, Arizona in January.
