McGinty Named Big 12 Golfer Of The Month

STILLWATER ---- Oklahoma State women's golf's Caley McGinty was named Big 12 Golfer of the Month for September after a pair of top-five finishes to start her Cowgirl career, the league office announced Wednesday.
McGinty most recently secured the individual tournament title at the Schooner Fall Classic to help lead OSU to its 101st team tournament championship in program history. She posted a 68 in the final round to finish the week at 8-under in the 54-hole tournament at the Belmar Golf Club in Norman.
A transfer from Kent State, she started her Oklahoma State career at the Sam Golden Invitational earlier in the month. She shot a 2-under to close out the tournament with a third-place finish at 12-under.
This marks her first career Big 12 Golfer of the Month honor, and the first time this season a Cowgirl golfer has been recognized.
OSU returns to action Oct. 17 at the Jim West Challenge at Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos, Texas.
