Taylen Collins Receives Preseason All-Big 12 Recognition

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State's Taylen Collins was tabbed as an honorable mention all-league pick with the announcement of the Big 12 women's basketball preseason awards by the league office today.
A sophomore from Muldrow, Okla., Collins is coming off an impressive rookie campaign that saw her named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team and the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie squad a year ago.
Collins played in 28 contests last season, making 25 starts on the year. The 6-1 forward helped the Cowgirls to a 19-9 mark and the second round of the NCAA Championship.
For the season, Collins averaged 6.6 points and 5.0 rebounds. Additionally, she averaged 2.1 assists and 1.9 steals per contest.
Collins finished 17th among league players in rebounds per game and was eighth in the league with her steals per contest average.
The Cowgirls will tip off the 2021-22 campaign on Nov. 4 with an exhibition contest against Southern Nazarene in Stillwater before opening the regular season on Nov. 10 against Colorado inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
