Cowgirls Set For Play At ITA Central Regional Championships

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Five members of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team will represent the Cowgirls at the ITA Central Regional Championships at the University of Iowa with play beginning tomorrow morning.
The ITA Regional Championships feature some of the top women's players across the country. Student-athletes compete across at regional sites around the nation. Regional singles and doubles champions qualify for the season-ending ITA Fall National Championships held in San Diego, California, Nov. 4-7.
Alana Wolfberg, Martina Zerulo, Ayumi Miyamoto, Dariya Detkovskaya and Sofia Rojas will all represent OSU.
The doubles main draw begins tomorrow with Wolfberg and Zerulo as the No. 2 seed and Detkovskaya and Miyamoto as the third seed.
The singles main draw starts on Friday and all five Cowgirls are top 32 seeds and will have a first-round bye. The singles draw will be released once tomorrow's qualifying play concludes.
The Cowgirls have had eleven ITA Central Regional Champions since 2013.
