• The Basics
Oklahoma State heads out on the road looking to get back into the win column against Kansas State on Saturday night. All four Big 12 games for OSU have been decided by a single possession or in overtime, and by a grand total of 12 points. The road has been kind to the Cowboys, who have won four of their five road games in 2020-21. The matchup in Manhattan will be a test of tempos, as the Big 12's fastest squad, Oklahoma State (KenPom No. 40 tempo), will take on the No. 337 squad in tempo, K-State. OSU took both meetings with the Wildcats last season. The game is being televised on ESPN2, and fans can listen to the game with Dave Hunziker and John Holcomb on the Cowboy Radio Network.

• Road Warriors
OSU owns perhaps the nation's best road resume. Victories at No. 13 Texas Tech, Wichita State, Marquette and UT Arlington have given the Cowboys a 4-1 record away from Stillwater, which is tied for the second most road wins in the country and tops among power conference teams. Dating back to last season, OSU has won six of its last seven games away from home, with the lone loss coming at No. 8 Texas by three points.

• Healthy Dose Of Defense
The Cowboys employ a pressure defense that forces 14.8 turnovers per game and is holding opponents to 40.1 percent from the floor - both third in the Big 12. Only two of OSU's opponents this season have finished the game with a positive assist-to-turnover ratio. Despite not having a true big man, OSU is also averaging a +12.9 margin in points in the paint this year.

• The Series With The Wildcats
This will be the 139th meeting between the Cowboys and the Wildcats in a series that dates back to 1922. OSU is coming off a regular-season sweep over K-State, which was the first by the Cowboys since 1994 when the two were Big Eight rivals. Overall, the Wildcats lead the series, 83-55, although OSU has a 34-27 edge in Stillwater. The Wildcats have a 41-17 lead in the Little Apple, although OSU has won two of the last four in Bramlage Coliseum.

• USA Basketball Connections
Cowboys Isaac Likekele and Cade Cunningham teamed up with Kansas State head coach Bruce Weber to represent their country and win the 2019 U19 FIBA World Cup in Greece. Likekele became the fourth Cowboy to win gold with at the U19 FIBA World Cup with USA Basketball after averaging 8.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.1 assist and 1.7 steals per game. USA Basketball was +88 (+12.6 per game) when Likekele was on the floor. Cunningham started all seven games and averaged 11.7 points, 5.7 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game. In the finals, Cunningham led all scorers with 21 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in the 93-79 win over Mali. Weber was named the USA Basketball Co-National Coach of the Year.
