January 12, 2021 | Cowboy Tennis
STILLWATER - Oklahoma State's men's tennis team was picked third in the 2020 Big 12 preseason coaches poll released by the conference on Tuesday.Â
The Cowboys received 16 points landing them in the third spot in the poll behind first-place TCU with 24 points and Baylor with 22 points. Texas (14) Oklahoma (8) and Texas Tech (6) found themselves in the fourth, fifth and sixth spots, respectively.Â
Â
For the last two years, the Cowboys have been selected fourth in the Big 12 preseason coaches poll. OSU finished the 2019-20 season 9-2 and did not have the chance to compete in Big 12 play.Â

Head coach Jay Udwadia will look to lead multiple nationally-ranked Cowboys to a successful 2020-21 campaign. The returning veteran-duo of Dominik Kellovsky and Matej Vocel were ranked No.1 in the country during the 2020 season before it was cut short.Â
Â
Junior Emile Hudd and Vocel also found themselves ranked 20th in doubles and senior Luke Hammond and Hudd landed themselves at 22nd in doubles. In singles, Matej Vocel was ranked No. 62, Kellovsky No. 99 and Hudd at No. 102. The Cowboys were also ranked 16th in the country by the ITA.Â
Â
The Cowboys will open the 2021 spring season with a match against Wichita State at the Greenwood Tennis Center on Jan. 14 at 4 p.m.
