Cowgirl Soccer’s Yochum Named Big 12’s Best

IRVING, Texas — Oklahoma State's Grace Yochum was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week following her performance in last week's win over Iowa State.

Yochum, a junior midfielder, played all 90 minutes against the Cyclones and scored on a penalty kick at the 86:34 mark to lift the Cowgirls to a 2-1 win over ISU in their home opener at Neal Patterson Stadium.

With the score, Yochum has now netted a goal in six consecutive games dating back to last season. Her two goals this season is tied for the Big 12 lead.

The exploits also earned Yochum a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer.com Women's Team of the Week.

Yochum is OSU's first Big 12 weekly award winner this season. She will look to extend her scoring streak Friday when the Cowgirls return to action against West Virginia in a game that kicks off at 7 p.m. in Neal Patterson Stadium.
