April 17, 2020 | Cowgirl Soccer
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State soccer has added transfer goalie Emily Plotz to its program for the 2020 season.
Plotz played three seasons at Stetson and will be a senior for head coach Colin Carmichael's Cowgirls in 2020.
A native of Merritt Island, Fla., Plotz was a two-time All-Atlantic Sun Conference performer in the net at Stetson. She started 45 games and posted 253 saves and 14 shutouts during her career for the Hatters, and she led the A-Sun in saves as a junior (96) and sophomore (76).
"We are very excited to add Emily to our team for this season," Carmichael said. "She is a talented goalkeeper who has had success at the Division I level for three years. She has great size and athleticism and is able to make athletic plays in goal. We expect her to compete for the goalkeeper position immediately."
Plotz starred in the prep ranks at Merritt Island High School, where she led the team to a 28-1-2 record and a state semifinal appearance as a senior, tallying 71 saves and allowing just six goals. A member of the Florida State ODP Team from 2010-14, Plotz was also a standout at the club level, helping her team to the FYSA State Cup Final Four in four consecutive seasons, including a finals appearance in 2013.
