6-3 I 190 I G I Gr. I  Federal Way, Washington  I Cal Baptist / Fairfield / South Mountain CC
Ferron Flavors Jr. averaged 13.4 points and 3.5 rebounds for Cal Baptist last season, but most importantly, he was one of the nation's best sharpshooters.
The Federal Way, Washington native knocked down 2.93 3-pointer per game on 42.7 percent shooting – both tops in the Western Athletic Conference.
His clip of 42.7 percent ranked 16th in the NCAA (minimum 2.5 makes per game), and his 2.93 makes per game was tied for 26th nationally. What's more, his numbers only improved in league play. Against WAC competition, Flavors shot 43.9 percent and made 3.0 per game.
Last season, the 6-3 guard posted 22 double-digit scoring performances, including four 20-plus point games. He knocked down five or more 3-pointers on eight occasions. In his best outing, Flavors hit 6-of-13 3-pointers for 24 points in a win over Central Arkansas.
With his help, Cal Baptist won 21 games and finished second in the WAC with a 10-6 mark in league play.
Prior to joining CBU, Flavors played the 2017-18 season at Fairfield Univ., where he led the Stags and ranked 17th in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with 12.3 points per game.
He also hit 95 3-pointers that season – second most in school history – and his 2.88 3-pointers per game ranked 47th nationally.
His collegiate career began at South Mountain Community College in Arizona, where he averaged 17.6 points and had a dozen 20-point scoring games for the Cougars.
At Federal Way High School, Flavors earned honorable mention Associated Press All-State team honors and helped his team capture its second straight Washington state championship. He was named to the All-State Tournament team and named the tournament most valuable player in 2016.
Flavors chose the Cowboys over offers from Xavier, Washington State, Detroit and Wake Forest.
