No. 21 Oklahoma State Claims Three Individuals And Three Doubles Teams In Latest ITA Rankings

STILLWATER -Â The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released its latest singles and doubles Division I men's rankings on Wednesday. Oklahoma State claims three individuals and three doubles teams in the national rankings, including Matej Vocel and Dominik Kellovsky landing at No. 2 in doubles.

Matej Vocel and Dominik Kellovsky were ranked No. 1 in the previous ITA rankings, but after dropping a pair of matches in the spring, they fall to No. 2. The Cowboy duo is currently 2-2 on the season, but one of those losses came to No. 3 Jack Lin and Jackie Tang of Columbia.

Luke Hammond and Emile Hudd maintained their ranking of No. 19 as they have started the season 3-1 together. Their only loss of the year came to No. 27 Tim Ruehland and Andre Bolla, who jumped up to No. 18 in these latest rankings. OSU also claims one more doubles team in the rankings in Matej Vocel and Emile Hudd, who come in at No. 45 with a 1-0 record after not being ranked together previously.

The highest ranking in singles came from Matej Vocel, who comes in at No. 35. Vocel was ranked No. 41 to start the spring, but he has started his spring season 3-1 with each match coming on Court one. Vocel's most impressive win of the season came by defeating No. 35 Tim Sandaulen of Ole Miss, who is now ranked No. 63 in the nation.

Emile Hudd did not move up or down in the rankings as he sits at No. 87 in the country. Hudd has opened the spring season with four consecutive wins, while playing on court three throughout the season.Â

Dominik Kellovsky was the final Cowboy in the rankings as he comes in at No. 110 despite being No. 91 in the previous rankings. Kellovsky is 5-1 this season with his only loss coming to an unranked opponent, but one of his wins coming over No. 99 Makey Rakotomalala of Arizona State.Â

The No. 21 Cowboys will resume play again on Feb. 7 when they welcome San Diego to Stillwater. OSU will face Northwestern on Sunday, Feb. 9 as well.Â
