OSU Cross Country Leads Big 12 in Academic Honorees

STILLWATER – The 2020 Academic All-Big 12 Cross Country Teams honor 24 Oklahoma State athletes with 13 Cowgirl selections for the women's team and 11 Cowboys named to the men's team.
Oklahoma State's combined 24 student-athletes leads the conference. 2020 marks the second consecutive year that Oklahoma State's men's and women's cross country teams have combined to lead the Big 12 in total student-athletes who earned the honor.
The Cowgirls led all women's teams with its 13 selections; the Cowboys' 11 honorees were second-best in the Big 12, behind Kansas' 12. Of the 13 Cowgirls that were named to the Academic All-Big 12 team, five were nominated with a 4.00 GPA: Ariane Ballner, Emily Forster, Moriah Moody, Taylor Somers and Claire Workman.
First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selection hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semester and must have participated in 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests.
