Fierro Earns 7th Career Top-10 Finish At Cowgirl Classic At Karsten Creek

STILLWATER – Isabella Fierro tallied the seventh top-10 finish of her career with a 5 over 221, leading the Cowgirls to a third-place finish at the Cowgirl Classic at Karsten Creek.

Fierro ended OSU's first home event since 2018 in a tie for third place after a final-round 74. The sophomore All-American finished the event with 11 birdies and a 4.67 average on par-5 holes – both second among all competitors.

As a team, the Cowgirls shot 35-over 296 to finish with an 899 for the tournament. OSU battled blustery weather conditions on Friday and settled into the leaderboard behind Baylor (891) and Texas Tech (892). Baylor's Elodie Chapelet took home the individual title with a 1-under 216.

A total of six birdies and a 4.17 average on par-4 holes led Hailey Jones to a 12th place finish at 9-over par. A 73 on the day for Lianna Bailey pushed her into a tie for 20th place, her best tournament finish of the season, as she carded a 16 over 232.

Maja Stark finished her debut event at 11-over par and in a tie for 14th place, while Rina Tatematsu ended the event in a tie for 22nd place with a 233.

Competing as individuals, Angelica Pfefferkorn finished the tournament in a tie for 31st place with a 20-over 236. Jenna Solheim finished in 50th place at 135-over 351.

The Cowgirls will return to action in two weeks at the Kissing Tree Invitational in San Marcos, Texas on November 1-2.
