Cowgirl Golf Trio In Striking Distance At Kissing Tree

SAN MARCOS, Texas – A trio of Oklahoma State women's golfers are among the top-10 with 18-holes to play at the Kissing Tree Invitational in San Marcos, Texas.
In the individuals-only tournament, Cowgirls Lianna Bailey and Isabella Fierro are in a four-way tie for first place at 7-under 137 along with Kate Smith (unattached) and Sofia Garcia (Texas Tech).
Bailey, a junior, posted seven birdies in the afternoon round, and is tied with Fierro for most birdies in the tournament with 11. Rina Tatematsu also posted the best two rounds of her career as a Cowgirl with eight birdies and is in sixth on the leaderboard. Tatematsu is second-best on par-5 holes and finished 33 holes on par or better.
Maja Stark posted five birdies and finished the day at 3 over 147, while freshman Angelica Pfefferkorn and sophomore Hailey Jones both ended the day at 8 over 152 and in a tie for 33rd place.
The final 18 holes of the Kissing Tree Invitational will begin on Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
