Arjun Kadhe Wins Doubles Draw In Chengdu Open

STILLWATER – Arjun Kadhe, former member of the Oklahoma State men's tennis team, and his doubles partner, Saketh Myneni, won the men's doubles trophy at the ATP Challenger in Chengdu, China on Saturday.
The duo of Kadhe and Myneni entered the tournament unseeded. The pair met No. 292 Ji Sung Nam and No. 595 Song Min-Kyu of Korea in the final and defeated them 6-3, 0-6, 10-6.
In the first round of the tournament, Kadhe and Myeni were handed a win over No. 408 Blake Ellis of Australia, and No. 343 Brydan Klen of Great Britain due to a walkover.
After advancing past the round of 16, Kadhe and Myeni defeated the pairing of No. 474 Harri Heliovaara and No. 601 Toshihide Matsui in the semifinals.
In the quarter finals, the former Cowboy and his partner upset the number one seeds in the tournament in No. 88 Mao-Xin Gong and No. 215 Ze Zhang.
Kadhe now moves up in the doubles ranking to 168 overall after this victory marks his first ever ATP Challenger win.
