Cowgirl Soccer Hosts Tulsa In Preseason Exhibition

Oklahoma State will host in-state foe Tulsa in a preseason exhibition match Friday at 7 p.m. at Neal Patterson Stadium. Admission to the match is free.

Friday's contest will air live on Stillwater Radio's KGFY 105.5 FM, with Bill Van Ness on the call; to listen online, go to stillwaterradio.net. Live stats can also be accessed via statbroadcast.com.

OSU Notes

OSU is coming off a 10-7-1 season in which the Cowgirls were ranked as high as No. 12 nationally.
Led by All-Big 12 defender Kim Rodriguez, OSU returns nine players who started at least 10 games in 2018.
Rodriguez tied for the team lead in scoring last season as she recorded 14 points on four goals and six assists.
Midfielder Grace Yochum earned Big 12 All-Freshman honors a year ago after posting four goals and an assist.
OSU's senior class of Claire Gantzer, Elise Hawn, Jaci Jones, Julia Lenhardt and Kirsten Siragusa enter 2019 with a combined 286 games of experience.
Lenhardt has started all 62 matches in her first three seasons in an OSU uniform.
OSU opens the 2019 regular season Aug. 22 at Lamar at the Cardinal Classic. The Cowgirls will also take on UTSA on opening weekend.
The Cowgirls' home opener is scheduled for Sept 1 against Oral Roberts.

Tulsa Notes

Tulsa is coming off a 2018 season in which it finished with a 7-10-1 record.
The Golden Hurricane return nine starters and 17 letterwinners from a year ago, led by preseason all-conference forward Anna Williams.
Williams netted nine goals and four assists as a junior last season and has 38 career starts for TU.
Sophomore Mia Darden also returns for the Golden Hurricane after collecting seven goals and three assists in her first collegiate season.
