Rally Comes Up One Stroke Short For Cowgirl Golfer At NCAA Regional

NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma State's Lianna Bailey carded an even-par 72 to finish in a tie for eighth at the NCAA Norman Regional, but came up one stroke short of qualifying for the 2019 NCAA Championships.
After a bogey-free 68 in Tuesday's second round, the freshman posted five birdies on Wednesday at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club to finish the event at 2-under 214.
The low six teams and the low three individuals not on those teams advanced to the 2019 NCAA Women's Golf National Championships at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Virginia Tech's Amanda Hollandsworth grabbed the final NCAA Championship bid with a 54-hole total of 3-under 213.
Fellow Cowgirl freshman Han-Hsuan Yu was 2-over on the day and finished the event at 1-over 217 and in a tie for 19th place.
No. 2 Texas finished atop the team leaderboard by 10 strokes at 10-under 854, while Oklahoma's Kaitlin Milligan and Arizona State's Olivia Mehaffey shared individual medalist honors at 8-under 208.
