Cowgirls Open Play At NCAA Golf Regional

NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma State's Lianna Bailey carded a 2-over 74 and Han-Hsuan Yu opened with a 3-over 75 at the NCAA Norman Regional at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club.
Through 18 holes, Bailey is tied for 45th overall and Yu isn't far behind in a tie for 54th. Both Cowgirls posted a pair of birdies in the soggy conditions following Sunday night's storms.
Each of the four NCAA Regional sites feature 18 teams and six individuals. The low six teams and the low three individuals not on those teams from each regional will advance to the 2019 NCAA Women's Golf National Championships at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Currently at the Norman Regional, the third ranked individual not on a potential advancing team is at 2-under 70 with 36 holes to play.
Eight Cowgirls have combined to advance to 10 NCAA Championships as an individual, including Emma Broze in 2018, who went on to finish 12th at Karsten Creek.
Yu and Bailey are scheduled to tee off Tuesday's round at 8:20 a.m.
