Vocel Moves on to Second Round of NCAA Singles Championship

ORLANDO, Fla. – Oklahoma State sophomore Matej Vocel defeated Rice's Sumit Sarkar, 7-5, 6-3, in the first round of the NCAA Singles Championship Monday at the USTA National Campus.
Vocel will move on to face the tournament's No. 2 overall seed, J.J. Wolf of Ohio State. Wolf defeated Adria Barrera of Miami, 6-2, 6-3, Monday.
Vocel improved his overall singles record to 15-11 on the season.
The match between Wolf and Vocel will be Tuesday at 5 p.m. (CST) and will be broadcast on the Tennis Channel.
