Cowgirls Close out Big 12 Play at TCU, Texas Tech

STILLWATER– The 11th-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team (16-6, 6-1 Big 12) is set to wrap up conference play on the road this weekend at TCU on Friday and in Lubbock on Sunday.
Friday evening's matches are scheduled to begin in Fort Worth at 5:30 p.m. The Cowgirls face off with Texas Tech for the second time this season on Sunday afternoon at 1:00. With two matches remaining in regular-season play, the Cowgirls are one match out of first place in the Big 12 behind undefeated Texas. The Longhorns have three matches remaining.
OSU comes off a weekend in which it defeated No. 24 UCF, 5-2, behind efficient singles play. The Pokes followed that win with a 7-0 shutout against the 31st-ranked Oklahoma Sooners.

In front of nearly 300 Cowgirl fans, senior Sofia Blanco clinched the match in a, 6-2, 6-2, defeat of Oklahoma's Kianah Motosono. Shortly after, Marina Guinart sealed the sweep in a bout with Martina Capurro that went to three sets, 5-7, 6-0, 6-4. Blanco's win marked her 15th this spring, and Guinart moved to 13-3 in singles play this season.
