Cowboys Appear in Oracle/ITA Ranks

STILLWATER – After going 2-1 in team competition last week in California, the OSU men's tennis team made several appearances in the latest Oracle/ITA Rankings released Tuesday.
The Cowboys received a team ranking of 30, up two spots from a week ago. The Pokes have been ranked in six of the seven ITA polls this dual season.
In singles, senior Artur Dubinski surged to No. 85, closing in on his career-best ranking of 71. Dubinski did not play in California.
The doubles tandem of Mathieu Scaglia and Maxim Tybar check in at No. 22, after defeating two ranked doubles teams in California. As an unranked tandem, Scaglia and Tybar defeated No. 20 August Holmgren/Joel Gamerov (San Diego) as well as No. 13 Jacob Brumm/Yuta Kikuchi (California) in dual action. The pair also went 2-1 at the 130th Annual Pacific Coast Doubles Championships in La Jolla over the weekend.
The No. 30 Cowboys are back in action this weekend as they will face No. 35 NC State Friday afternoon at 3:30, along with a Sunday doubleheader against Memphis and Oral Roberts. All three matches will be played in Stillwater.
