Postgame Notes
- The Cowboys fell to the Jayhawks today for just the second time in the last six matchups inside of Gallagher-Iba Arena. Oklahoma State still holds a 35-34 margin in GIA over the Jayhawks, but trails the all-time series 116-59.
- The first half started with Kansas making an early 10-0 run, but the Cowboys would respond with a 13-0 run themselves that would give them a lead as large as seven points. The Cowboys went into the break with a 37-32 lead behind 10 first-half points from Curtis Jones.
- Kansas took the lead back due to a 16-2 run over a 2:15 stretch less than four minutes into the second half. The Jayhawks would go up by as many as seven points in that run. The Cowboys would go on an 8-0 run with 7:59 remaining in the second half to take a five-point lead over the Jayhawks. Kansas would end the game on an 8-0 run that secured the five-point win over OSU.
Player Notes
- Three Cowboys scored in double-figures today: Curtis Jones (19), Cameron McGriff (19) and Thomas Dziagwa (15).
- Yor Anei blocked four shots tonight. He has blocked at least one shot in 14 straight games and in 25 of OSU's 29 games overall. He is now eighth in single-season blocks in OSU and is tied for 17th on the career blocks list in OSU history with 64 this season.
- Thomas Dziagwa knocked down three 3-pointers today and is in sixth place in OSU history for 3-pointers made in a season with 96. He has hit at least one 3-pointer in every game but one this season. He also has 21 games with at least three 3-pointers this year after today.
- Thomas Dziagwa is 24-of-50 (.480) from 3-point over the last five games after shooting 3-of-10 today.
- Lindy Waters was just 2-of-6 from three today, but has made 35 of his last 63 (.556) 3-point attempts over the last 11 games.  He is also 38-of-72 (.528) from 3-point in Big 12 play, which leads the league.
- After scoring 19 points tonight, Curtis Jones has scored in double-figures in each of the last two games. His 19 points is the most he has scored since the Cowboys faced Central Arkansas on Dec. 21, in which he scored a career-high 23 points. He also shot 4-of-4 from 3-point range today.
- Cameron McGriff scored 19 points today, which is the most he has scored since the Cowboys' last game against Kansas on Feb. 9, in which he scored 22 points. Over the last five games against Kansas, McGriff is averaging 14.6 points and seven rebounds.
Team Streaks
- The Cowboys managed to hold the Jayhawks to just 39.3 percent shooting in today's contest. It was only the third time that the Jayhawks have been held under 40 percent from the field this season.
- The Cowboys knocked down 11 3-pointers today and have now knocked down 11 or more 3-pointers in three of its last four games.Â
- The Cowboys led 37-32 at the break today and are now 10-4 this season when it leads at the half.
- OSU has made at least one 3-pointer in 613 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 13, 2001, which is the 24th longest current streak in college basketball.
