NEW ORLEANS – Coming off its best result of the season, the new-look Oklahoma State women's golf team hopes to keep its momentum rolling at the All-State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate, which begins Feb. 17 at the English Turn Golf & Country Club.

The Cowgirls are taking on eight top-20 squads in New Orleans after placing fifth at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, where they topped nine ranked teams on Feb. 6. The two new freshman the Cowgirls added in January, Han-Hsuan Yu and Sara Camarena, led the Cowgirls, and Yu finished in a tie for fourth after firing a 3-over 214.

The Cowgirls finished eighth in the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate last year, although senior Chih-has a pair of top-10 finishes at this event during her career. As a freshman, Chen finished seventh after carding a 2-under 214, including an opening-round 69.
