Vivian Gray Named Big 12 Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas — Oklahoma State's Vivian Gray has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week it was announced today by the league office.
A native of Argyle, Texas, Gray turned in a career performance in OSU's midweek win over in-state rival Oklahoma. The sophomore hit 11 of her 16 shots from the floor and made 10 of her 11 free-throw attempts on her way to a career-high 33 points. She also had three rebounds, two assists and a block in the win over the Sooners.
Gray poured in 15 points in the second quarter and closed the game with a 10-point fourth quarter to help the Cowgirls secure their third consecutive Bedlam victory.
At Texas Tech on Saturday, Gray poured in a game-high 22 points to go with a pair of rebounds and two assists.
She now has 12 20-point outings on the season, which is tied for first among league players and ranks second in the conference wit her 19.3 points per outing.
The honor marks the second time this season a Cowgirl has received the distinction with sophomore Braxtin Miller doing so on Dec. 3.
