Kellovsky And Vocel Advance At The ITA National Fall Championships

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – The Oklahoma State men's tennis team continued its tournament run in the 2019 ITA National Fall Championships on Thursday in both singles and doubles play. No. 19 Matej Vocel competed in singles, and, with his partner, Dominik Kellovsky in doubles. Luke Hammond and Emile Hudd also competed in consolation play of the doubles draw.
No. 18 Matej Vocel and Dominik Kellovsky went up against No. 47 Francois Musitelli and Jannik Giesse of Old Dominion. The Cowboy duo came out on top with a 7-5, 6-4 victory, propelling them into the next round of doubles play.
In the consolation bracket, Emile Hudd and Luke Hammond also came away with a win for the Cowboys. They defeated Blake Croyder and Philip Henning of Georgia, 6-4, 7-5.
In singles, No. 19 Vocel fell to No. 85 Sven Lah of Baylor in his second singles match. The Cowboy lost in a hard-fought match, 6-4, 6-7(1), 6-3, ending his tournament run in the round of 32.
