Oklahoma State Men's Tennis Starts Play At The ITA National Fall Championships

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Oklahoma State men's tennis is being represented this week at the 2019 ITA National Fall Championships by four different Cowboys. Singles play began for Matej Vocel, while doubles play began for Vocel, Dominik Kellovsky, Luke Hammond and Emile Hudd on Wednesday.
No. 19 Matej Vocel got play started for the Cowboys in singles, as he is the only member of the Oklahoma State men's tennis team competing in the main draw of singles play. Vocel went up against Gregor Ramskogler of Mississippi State in his first-round matchup and came out on top with a 6-1, 6-2 victory.
No. 18 Dominik Kellovsky and Matej Vocel teamed up to represent Oklahoma State in doubles. The Cowboy duo defeated No. 50 Andrew Fenty and Mattias Siimar of Michigan, 6-4, 4-6, 10-5. The other OSU pairing of Luke Hammond and Emile Hudd lost its first-round match to Stefan Dostanic and Riley Smith, 7-5, 6-4.
