Two Cowgirls Wrap Up Play At The Dickie V Clay Court Classic

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. - Catherine Gulihur was the last Cowgirl standing at the Dickie V Clay Court Classic on Sunday in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. Alana Wolfberg also competed in the tournament throughout the weekend but finished her final match on Saturday.
Gulihur has been competing in the back draw of the tournament since she lost her initial match on Friday to Chloe Kuckelman of Nebraska. The Cowgirl competed in the finals of the back draw on Sunday against Michigan's Nicole Hammond but fell in the match, 6-0, 7-5, to wrap up her tournament run.
Neither Catherine Gulihur nor Alana Wolfberg are set to compete in the ITA Fall National Championships in Newport Beach, Fla. next week, but No. 43 Lisa Rioux, No. 67 Bunyawi Thamchaiwat, Ayumi Miyamoto and Dariya Detkovskaya will travel to represent Cowgirl tennis.
