STILLWATER – National top-50 recruit and Oklahoma City's own Rondel Walker has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball for Mike Boynton and Oklahoma State.
Listed at No. 46 on the ESPN Top-100 list, Walker is a unanimous four-star recruit out of Putnam City West High School, where he averaged 23.1 points as a junior last season.
Walker led the Patriots to the Class 6A state tournament and was a member of The Oklahoman's Big All-City first team and Super 5 second team. He averaged more than five steals per game and had three triple-doubles, two of which included more than 10 steals.
247Sports and Rivals both list Walker as a four-star recruit and the No. 91 and 94 player in America, respectively. 247Sports also named him the No. 17 shooting guard in the country and the No. 2 player overall in the state of Oklahoma.
Walked teamed up with fellow OSU signee Cade Cunningham on the Texas Titans, where they racked up a perfect 5-0 record at the Peach Jam back in July. Walker averaged 14.8 points per game on 52.9 percent shooting at the event.
In all, Walker averaged 12.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game on the 2019 EYBL circuit.
Walker chose the Cowboys over scholarship offers from Arkansas, Texas, Kansas State, Virginia Tech and others.
He is a key member of the Oklahoma State signing class that could go down as one of the best in school history. Walker joins Cade Cunningham in the Cowboy signing class, which gives the Cowboys back-to-back top-25 recruiting classes under Boynton.
Cowboy basketball season tickets are on sale now and start at just $150. Visit okstate.com/tickets or text/call 877-ALL-4-OSU for more information.
