Cowboy Forward Reeves Named OSU Senior Of Significance

STILLWATER – Cowboy basketball forward Trey Reeves was named one of just 41 OSU Seniors Of Significance by the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association.
Reeves, who will graduate in December with a degree in accounting from the Spears School of Business, joins Christien Sager (2014-15) as the only Cowboy basketball players to ever earn this honor. The Gans, Oklahoma native plans to attend law school in the fall of 2020.
"That kid is a rock star in life," said Oklahoma State head coach Mike Boynton following Saturday's game. "There's no one on this team that will have more success in life than Trey Reeves. I'm so proud of his work in the classroom and on the court and in our locker room, and I want to see him enjoy his last year as much as he can."
Reeves was the recipient of the 2019 Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award, the Big 12 Conference's highest academic honor, and was a 2018 Academic All-Big 12 selection. In 2017, he was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team. Prior to his time at OSU, Reeves was the 2016 valedictorian of Muldrow High School.
The Seniors of Significance Award recognizes students who have excelled in scholarship, leadership and service to campus and community and have brought distinction to OSU.
The 41 students represent the top one percent of the Class of 2020 including all six OSU undergraduate colleges. A public reception to recognize the winners and their families will be held on November 19 at 6 p.m. at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center.
Reeves and his OSU teammates will head to Charleston, South Carolina to take on the College of Charleston in the first road game of the 2019-20 season. Tipoff is slated for 8 p.m. CT on CBS Sports and the Cowboy Radio Network.
