Vivian Gray Earns Preseason All-Big 12 Honor

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State's Vivian Gray was one of 11 players named to the 2019-20 Preseason All-Big 12 Women's Basketball Team it was announced today by the league office.
A year ago, Gray received honorable mention All-America status, was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year and was unanimously tabbed as a first-team All-Big 12 pick. This past summer, she participated in USA Basketball's Pan American Games team trials.
The junior produced one of the most prolific offensive campaigns in school history a year ago. In her first season as a Cowgirl, Gray averaged 20.0 points per game, which ranked second among Big 12 players and 25th nationally. Additionally, her average was the fifth-best nationally among sophomores.
She finished the year with a team-best 36 blocked shots, the 15th-best single-season total in school history and the most ever by a Cowgirl wing player.
A native of Argyle, Texas, Gray became just the third OSU sophomore to average 20 points per outing and just the second Cowgirl in program history to score 600 points as a sophomore. Additionally, her scoring average rose to 21.6 points per game in league play.
Gray and the Cowgirls will begin their season on Oct. 27 with an exhibition contest against Emporia State in Stillwater.
