Wolfberg And Gulihur Open Up Play At ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. – Sophomore Cowgirl Catherine Gulihur and freshman Alana Wolfberg are competing in the pre-qualifying draw of the ITA All-American Championships and began their competition on Saturday.
Gulihur opened up play for Oklahoma State in a match against Winthrop's Alisa Soloveva and lost, 6-3, 6-4. Wolfberg would have to fight through two rain delays but picked up a win in her first match of the day against Samantha Memije out of Michigan State, 6-4, 6-3. The freshman standout would play a second match later Saturday against Chandler Carter of Wake Forest and would go on to win once again, 6-1, 6-1.
Gulihur and Wolfberg will both compete again on Sunday. Gulihur will take part in a consolation match, while Wolfberg needs just one more win to advance to the qualifying draw of the tournament. Both Cowgirls' opponents are to be announced.
