Cowboys Resume Play At ITA Regional Championships On Saturday

NORMAN, Okla. – Multiple members of the Oklahoma State men's tennis team are competed in both singles and doubles play of the ITA Regional Championships in Norman, Okla. on Saturday.
In doubles, Luke Hammond and Emile Hudd defeated Jackson Allen and Eli Ogilvy of Minnesota, 8-6. This win pushes the Cowboy duo into the semifinals of the tournament where it will face Iowa's duo of Nikita Snezhko and Matt Clegg for a chance to play in the finals of the tournament.
Singles matches also continued on Saturday for multiple Cowboys. Mathieu Scaglia defeated Oliver Okunkuo of Iowa in his first match, 6-1, 7-6(4), but the Cowboy lost to Jake Van Emburgh of Oklahoma, 7-6(0), 6-1. Emile Hudd won his first match of the day over Will Gleason of Nebraska, 6-2, 6-4 but also lost his second match to Vladd Lobak of Minnesota, 7-6(5), 6-3.
Brady Draheim lost to Moreno Lozano of Nebraska, 6-4, 6-3 in his first and only match on Saturday. Luke Hammond was the final Cowboy to compete on Saturday, but he also lost his only match of the day to Kody Pearson of Tulsa, 6-3, 6-4.
This completes doubles play for the Cowboys in the ITA Regional Championships, but the doubles semifinals will be played on Sunday for Emile Hudd and Luke Hammond. Follow along with @CowboyTennis and on the Oklahoma State website.
