Vocel And Kellovsky Pick Up First-Round Wins In Arkansas Futures Event

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -Â No. 19Â Matej Vocel and Dominik Kellovsky are each competing in the Arkansas Futures event this week. Both Cowboys picked up wins in their first-round matches on Wednesday.Â
Vocel defeated Alexandre Reco, 6-4, 6-4 to start of his tournament play in the main draw. Kellovsky, who pushed himself into the main draw after winning two qualifying draw matches, faced off against Murphy Cassone and won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1.
The Cowboys will continue play on Thursday. Vocel will face off against Nick Chappell with a chance to compete in the quarterfinals of the tournament, while Kellovsky will play the fourth seed in the tournament, Cristian Filip Jianu.
