NORMAN— The Oklahoma State men's basketball team lost the first Bedlam matchup of the calendar year, 74-64, on Saturday in the Lloyd Noble Center.

Thomas Dziagwa matched his season-high with 16 points on a 4-for-8 performance from behind the arc. The junior has a knack for scoring in Norman. Last season, Dziagwa scored a career-best 19 points in the Lloyd Noble Center.

Michael Weathers scored 12 points, including a 7-for-10 performance from the free-throw line. Weathers also assisted on six baskets.

OSU (6-8, 0-2 Big 12) went toe-to-toe with the No. 23/25 Sooners (12-2, 1-1 Big 12), never letting the game get out of hand. The Cowboys cut the lead to five in the final minutes, but the Sooners pulled away with free-throw shooting in the end.

The Cowboy defense flexed its muscles, limiting the Sooners to 21-for-58 (36.2 percent) from the field, which was the Sooners' worst performance from the field this season.

OSU's defense held the Sooners without a field goal for a stretch that started with 15:20 left in the first half and lasted for 7:19.

After a sluggish start, the Cowboys went on a 11-1 run, which began at the 12:23 mark of the first half and ended with 9:01 remaining in the opening half.

Maurice Calloo had a career-high seven rebounds. He also put up eight points in 17 minutes of play.

Cameron McGriff nearly notched another double-double, putting up nine points and collecting eight rebounds.
