Cowboy Great Arjun Kadhe Competes in ATP 250 Tournament

PUNE, India – Former Cowboy and All-American Arjun Kadhe was in action this week at the Maharashtra Open, an ATP 250 level tournament, in his home city of Pune.
In doubles, Kadhe and his partner Sriram Balaji (India) defeated pair of Tim Puetz (Germany) and Philipp Oswald (Austria), who are both top 60 doubles players in the world. Kadhe and Balaji bested Puetz and Oswald, 7-6(1), 4-6, 10-8, Monday.
The tandem of Puetz and Oswald were the No. 2 seed in the tournament.
Kadhe and Balaji fell in the quarterfinal Wednesday to No. 56 Luke Bambridge and No. 62 Jonny O'Mara of the United Kingdom, 7-6(5), 6-1.
In singles, Kadhe faced No. 93 Laslo Djere in the round of 32. Kadhe fell to Djere in a hard-fought match, 7-5, 7-6(6), Tuesday. If Kadhe won, he would've faced No. 6 Kevin Anderson of South Africa.
Kadhe posts a current doubles ranking of No. 209, and a singles ranking of No. 392.
During his time at OSU, Kadhe became the first Cowboy to be a four-year All-American in doubles, and also ranks first in doubles wins in a season at OSU with 38.
Additionally, Kadhe ranks first in career doubles wins (105) and eighth in career singles wins (72). At 177 total victories across singles and doubles, Kadhe is the second-winningest Cowboy of the Big 12 Era (1997-Present).
