STILLWATER—The Oklahoma State basketball team lost to Baylor, 73-69, on Monday night in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Cameron McGriff earned his sixth double-double, scoring 15 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. The performance was McGriff's second consecutive double-double and his fifth in the last eight games.
Curtis Jones scored 18 points on a 7-for-13 shooting performance. Four of his seven made field goals came from behind the 3-point line.
The Cowboys (8-9, 2-3 Big 12) and Bears (10-6, 2-2) were off the charts from behind the arc, combining for 28 made 3s. OSU made a season-high 13 3-pointers on 29 attempts from distance.
Baylor went 15-for-25 from deep, which is good for a 60 percent clip from 3-point distance. King McClure went 7-for-11 on 3-point attempts and scored 29 points.
With the loss, OSU now leads the all-time series with Baylor 54-29. Six of the past seven games between the Cowboys and Bears have been decided by six points or less.
OSU returns to action at 5 p.m. on Saturday in Ames, Iowa, when it takes on Iowa State. The Cowboys and Cyclones faced off on Jan. 2. Iowa State came away the victor, 69-63. You can catch the game on ESPNU.
