Cowboys Continue Play at Futures F24, Silverado Invitational

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State senior Artur Dubinski advanced to the third round of the Qualifying Draw at the Futures F24 tournament in Claremont Calif., with his victory on Saturday.

Dubinski defeated Trent Aaron (USA), 6-2, 6-1, in the second round of the Qualifying Draw. Junior Mathieu Scaglia's tournament came to an end as he fell to Canada's Jack Davis in three sets, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.

Cowboy sophomore Matej Vocel will not play until Tuesday or Wednesday at the F24 tournament because he is in the Main Draw.

At the Silverado Invitational in Napa, the Cowboys took three of their four singles matches on the day against San Francisco.

Sophomore Maxim Tybar defeated San Francisco's Paul Giraud, 4-6, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (4). Freshman Emile Hudd recorded his first singles victory as a Cowboy when he defeated Romeo Jivraj, 6-4, 6-3.

Sophomore Brady Draheim bested Phuc Huynf of San Francisco, 6-4, 6-3.

Luke Hammond was the only Cowboy to fall in singles play in Napa, as he lost to San Francisco's Nitzan Ricklis, 6-1, 4-6, 7-6(4).

In doubles play, Tybar and Hammond defeated California's Ben Draper and Yuta Kikuchi, 8-5. Draheim and Hudd fell to Bjorn Hoffman and Jackson Suh of California, 8-3.

The Cowboys are back in action at the Silverado Invitational at 10:30 a.m. (CST) Sunday in Napa.
